My tranny went out about 2 weeks ago.
Well I have Park, Reverse, and 2nd gear.
Anyone else have this problem?
If so... How did you fix it? Or did you just buy a new tranny?
I really need to know before I buy a new tranny.
Any input will help. Thanks.

 

rebuild it

 

give it to jasper and they will rebuild it for you and you just buy it back from them

 

dude that sucks. just have it rebuilt. how many miles were on your truck?

C4 or C6... Someone on here has one, said it bolts right up.

I would like to buy a C6 but im gonna wait entil I can afford to buy a new motor. So all I can do is rebuild it?

 

I have a 98 auto 4x4 3.0L and my tranny is fixin to go by next feb., it has gotten progressively worse over the course of a year. Mine does not like ANY torque put on 2nd gear, if i accelerate semi-fast it struggles to shift up into 2nd and out of 2nd into 1st....im going to run it untill it finally craps out, i hear Rangers have a transmission problem and now I agree. my only has 83,000 miles!

 

My 3.0 tranny if I give it full throttle it will go really fast then bogg down then like pop back into gear so I gots to baby it till after the holidays. I knew I should have gone to 4.56's but I aint got no money
