swapped out fuel pump... now hard starting! help

when you installed this did you have any instructions?
the reason i am asking is because with the ee they specifically tell you to be carfull and not to damage the 'sock" (filter looking thing) otherwise it would cause problems.
are you still having a hard time starting? if you can get pictures of the pump, i want to take a look at it, it sucks i dont live closer, id help you get her runnin in no time :D
