Towing With Underdrive Pulley?

I am looking into getting an underdrive pulley system and was wondering if towing a 16ish ft fishing boat would be safe with one on. Would it cause any damage to the truck is my main concern?

Thanks in advance for replies,
~Jake

i dont see how having something that makes more power effect your towing in a negative way, i could be wrong though......

I have two Rangers (3.0) that tow granite countertops daily. Both have the underdrive pulley. I also have a 4.0 that tows an s-10 on a trailer to the track 60 miles.
More torque helps with the towing. No negative effects I have found.
