Vacuum Leak Check

So I have a CEL and it's saying bank 1 and 2 are too lean. The consensus seems to be check for a vacuum leaks first rather than replace O2 sensors. I have used electrical cleaner on the MAF and the spark plugs are maybe 32k old. My questions are these:

- How do I go about checking for leaks? It seems to be popular to use brake cleaner and shoot it at surfaces that may be leaking. So if a leak is present the cleaner will get sucked into the crevice?

- Where are all the areas I need to check? I know I need to check hoses and whatnot, but where on the engine should be checked?

- How would I go about fixing the leak? Inspection was due in December and now I'm back from snowboarding so this problem has to be fixed.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks guys!

Check all gasket areas on the intake side of the engine and vacuum hose connections and anything else you can find that relates to engine vacuum.

Take a spray bottle and fill it full of water. Pop your hood and turn it on. Then with the spray bottle start spraying your engine. When you see the water mist suck into a hose you have found your leak.
