Valve Cover with grommets?

I have a drivers side valve cover leak. I've seen gasket sets with and without grommets. Do I need grommets and where would they go? Never had the valve cover of this truck.

The grommets go around the bolts for the valve cover. Buy the kit with grommets so you don't have to buy them separate.

Thanks Fordzilla80. I hate buying something and it not having everything I need or having stuff I don't need.

Do these grommets go under the valve cover's lip or over it? Or do you set the VC in position atop the gasket then poke the bolts through the grommets then start the bolts?

My sister's '99 Jeep Cherokee's VC gasket set came with 19 hard plastic grommets (one for each bolt) and I cannot remember which way I put 'em on.

It was a long time ago.....it didn't leak!

These go on the outside. Put the bolts through them and then into the valve cover. They actually hold the bolts in place for you.
