Mine just started doing that too. Saw that the pulley on the top, driver side area has a slight wobble. When it wobbles, it squeeks. Anyone know that that pulley is called?

It's the top tensioner pulley more than likely. Just go to the Ford dealer and they'll go out and get your VIN to order a new one. I just had the same problem and they ordered the wrong one for me. I returned it and they got the proper one. It was even cheaper than the first one they gave me. Somewhere around $38 total. It's only available through Ford.

It'd help if you put the year and engine of your truck in your sig.

Random squeak on an 02 3.0 ?
Better get to pulling out the cam syncro and have a close inspection of it.

X2 OTRtech. If it seems that your squeek comes from the rear of the motor. That is easily fixed potential for BIG trouble. Check it when you hear it. If the cam synchro goes, you have no oil flowing through the engine. That really shortens the life of a motor.

Mine was the cam synchro as well. After I narrowed it down to that, I could actually FEEL the squeak through the top of the sensor.

tmilllz, From what I have read here be careful of Cardone cam synchros. They had been going quick. Most seem to think the Motorcraft ones are best though they cost 2-3X as much. Do a search on here and decide for yourself. Just a word to the wise.
