Wow I can't believe I win. Bought a ranger for 200 dollars off of a guy who got the truck when his dad died, was a 92 3.0 2wd automatic.

Nobody is going to believe me. The odometer read 64k when I bought it. Figured that meant 164k because no 6th digit. Well ran carfax on truck, and info was stored that it got in an accident in 2005 with 385,000 miles. 5 years later, the odometer read 65k (657xx when it died).

So my best guess is 465,000 at the least. No idea how. Mechanic said it is the original engine, and looked like the original transmission, but had different differential. The flywheel got bent and I sold it for parts.

465,7XX miles.

Also, equally as unbelievable I searched cars.com or a site like it and found a 2005 ranger that had an odometer that read 500,8XX miles. I don't see how that's possible at all. Someone had it on a lift with a brick on the gas and wheels loving freely?

Either way, no idea how that is possible. And yes, the pic of odometer was of onside of a base 2005 2wd

Mine has 165k on it and runs like a champ, uses a 1/2 quart of 5w-20 every 5k miles. I wouldn't be surprised to see this engine go 300k+.

432,156 miles and running like new. 98 XLT 4 door. Just got back from a test drive (Dallas to Key West FL and back) after replacing the fuel pump for P0174/P0171 codes. First 2 pressure tests were in specs, 3rd showed low. Came close to replacing manifold gaskets. Couple of parking lot dings and a few hail dents from storm chasing. It's thanks to you fine people in this forum that keeps my Ranger rolling.

140,000 Not that much, it seems to run good, but the check engine light popped up yesterday...

Just bought it last Friday.

And it has that notorious air in the clutch system problem...

My 1990 Bronco II (2.9) had well over 200K before it died but I killed that thing. I ran it at speeds well over 100mph regularly. Would race my friend in his altima all the time during a hour drive to the nearest large city. My 2006 ranger has the 3.0 with 36000 on it and runs like a dream. Test drove a 2003 edge that had the 3.0 with 194000 that ran great too.

I have 224674 mile on my 2005 3.0 range. Haven't had a problem with it yet, except for the emergency fuel shut off switch.
