There ya go.

Run only onle muffler. The muffle (thrush or flowmaster) should be single in/dual out. Then run your dual pipe setup out of the muffler.

Oh, and spring for the stainless steel. If you get the chrome tips, you will have to constantly clean them to keep them from rusting.

2.5 would be fine.

It will give you slightly more echo in the pipes, giving it a little more sound. Not sure how much though.

I doubt there would be a noticeable difference in the pipe size, but I went with 2.5 I think. lol.

ya a single in/dual out will be the easiest. i think the cherry bomb extreme or flowmaster 10 would be pretty nasty. it would deff be a huge improvement over the thrush turbo

Couldn't disagree more. If the pipes are sized properly there will be NO issues

Yeah....sized REALLY small.

TRUE duals...IMO...are only suitable for a V8.

But hey, like I said before, its up to the OP. Let it be his learning experience.

Yepp I would think 2" MAX. I wouldn't waste the money on true duals on a ranger. Unless it was boosted some how

I ended up going with a flow master 40 series coming out in front of the passenger side rear tire.

2 1/2 piping going out sounds deep...would anyone like a video?

Yeah video please.

And Lucas, I had basically that same setup that you want. Except I had the super 44 (not too big of difference from the 40)

It sounded GREAT. You will like it, trust me.

MAYBE later on ill go back to tips out the back with my super 10 (almost straight pipe)

the 40 series i think are suppose to be deeper than the 44 series but the 44 is louder. the 10 seires is the deepest and loudest that flowmaster offer though. When you get your pipes on please take pics of the tips. Im still debating on getting 45's or 90's lol

^ nice, not a bad video at all. I actually just cut off my thrush and put on a magflow 2.25 center in center out 5x8x18. So its 24 inches long all together and pretty heavy ha.

the center in center out really is straight damn through haha and i love it! its quite enough that i dont feel bad driving around neighborhoods at night but when your accelerating or hammin it you get a little pop from it. It just sounds really healthy, thats the best way i can put it.

I did a 2.5 to 2.25 reducer from the cat pipe to 18" section of pipe then muffler and exit before rear tire. cost me 83 shipped from ebay "greyhound performance" is where i got it. I also definitly think the low end torque is better with this type of muffler vs chambered.

if ya'l need me to take a vid i will...

M
