Where do these hoses go?

I took these out of my truck this weekend.

I was very careful at labeling everything so I would know where it to put it when reassembling. However, after I mounted one of my pushrods like this:

...instead of like this:

...it ended up falling into my lifter galley. At that point I just started tearing things apart to get my lower intake off and rescue my lost pushrod.

Unfortunately after I was done putting it all back together I had 1 bolt left over:

I also don't know if I put these hoses back in the correct location:

I didn't remove a hose from here but I was wondering if there is supposed to be one there:

I am going to be tearing it all back apart soon as I didn't put threadlock on the set screws and I have now found out that it is recommended. At that point I will take better pictures of the whole process for anyone that is interested in installing roller rockers.

Overall, it is a very scary mod for a novice like me, however, the truck runs very quiet and smooth and even the wife said it feels faster.

Thank you Silver!

Do you have the underdrive pulleys? If so I would say that this feels like about the same power increase that they pulleys give you. It also makes the engine much quieter and run much smoother. My wife drives my truck 3 days out of the week when I take my daughter to work with me and she said she could notice that it had more power and ran smoother. If you are going to do this and you are not that comfortable with tearing apart the top half of your engine I would say to read the directions several times before you start and make sure you have 2 days to work on it in case you run into problems. The hardest part is finding TDC. It is scary to tap the rocker stud mounts too but once you do the first couple it gets easier (make sure you don't go too deep). Once you get TDC figured out adjusting the rockers should be really easy too as long as you follow the directions. If you do decide to do it and have any questions feel free to ask.

Marc, I don't have a 3.o in my driveway. Sorry. Taking a wild guess- is the bolt from the coil pack bracket?

We did a double install one day. We put the underdog pulley on and the guy drove it for 5 minutes and came back and we installed the roller rockers. He drove it for 5 minutes and came back and said the rollers gave more Hp than the pulley. It's all seat dyno testament, but we KNOW the pulley is 8+ HP, so you can almost assume an 8-10 hp gain on the rockers. I know it's not scientific data so you have to take it for what it is worth.

The other thing that always pops up is how quiet the engine becomes. I get a lot of comments about that. That metal to metal clacking of the non roller tips on the stock rockers are something you don;t really hear until it goes away. That's when it becomes noticeable.

^^^ My coil pack was mounted to the upper intake over two of the upper intake bolts. It was also attached to a bracket that was attached to one of the passenger side exhaust manifold bolts. I will have to look again and see if there were more mounting points. BTW i notice that the stud bolt where the coil pack bracket attaches to the passenger side exhaust manifold and the stud bolt where the dip stick attaches to the drivers side exhaust manifold were sheered off. Is it now impossible for me to take the manifolds off?

Did anyone get a break in the weather to take a look and see if I hooked up those two hoses correctly? Or if there is supposed to be a hose on the lower pipe?

Thanks again 3.0 guys.

I just ran out and checked mine. Your hoses look like they are installed right, and there is no hose on that lower hole on mine. I guess that means nothing hooks up to it.

I just checked my 03 and that's the way it's connected.
Not that I see it really matters as they only are feeding the heater core.
