I don't do anything to cause it to blow, except some minor off roading, I say minor, you see I have a system to tell how extreme the off road action is, it's my toolbox (chest type full of tools, weighs around 175lbs.) in the bed of the truck, it usually only bounces out of the bed 2 or 3 times a trip. lol

Seriously tho, they just started going out for no reason, then they'll be back on the next time I turn my lights on.

All but 2 of mine were burnt out after 7 years. I replaced them. Took me about half an hour to do the entire job. Pretty simple.

I don't know why mine burnt out, but I would expect my replaced ones (although they are 194LL's) to burn out again sometime because I always drive with my lights on even in the day, so my cluster is always lit up every time I drive the truck.

My 2002 ranger burned like 3 dash lights and a cruise light, with only 67,000 km's. It must have had high voltage or something. When they start burning on my 03 im gunna go SMD direct replacments

I put LEd in my 4x4 switch and it dims? WTF? though LED's wouldnt dim

mine went out and i replaced them with 194 LED's...now those are out...only after 2 years the LED's went out...which does not make any sense I did not think LED's could burn out...hopefully they are just loose but i doubt it

The headlamp switch is the one that always gets me. I have replaced that sucker twice. You can buy the bulb separately too. :) I haven't ever had a dash light bulb blow.

I haven't had this issue, yet, but my mechanic said if he has to tear into a dash to replace one or two, he replaces all of them. For the time and effort to get to them vs. the cost of the bulbs, it makes sense.
