WHO loves those Ford Dash Lights

WOO-WOO...I love how one by one my dash lights are burning out. I love that!!!!!! I am going to have so much fun pulling that baby out. I heard they go out even after replacement with a lifetime of 2-3 years. SWWWWEEEEETTTT!

I have 2 burned out as well. I'm not wanting to take the dash apart. Mine is burned out right at the 60 mph place, so it makes seeing the speedo kinda rough.

I agree, its not that difficult. Buy the Sylvania Long Lifers they last quite a while.

What do you guys do to cause your dash lights to blow so freaking offten? I have never had to replace a single dash light. My '94 is what almost 15yrs old and I would bet a weeks pay that dash has never been apart. My '04ranger 4yrs and never had one blow out. I just don't get it.

I think i will do the LL's. I found the write up. Doesn't look hard...Looks time consuming.

You're just lucky. This is a common issue. I know 4 other ranger drivers in my area that have the same exact issue.

I have one out in the dash and on my steering wheel a lights out. I think it is a fuse because the first time I ever went mudding the light came back on. Now its off again.

LED's FTW!!!

If you can unscrew a bolt then you can do this. Its one of the easiest things I have ever done when it comes to my truck.

Take 15 different Rangers and one voltmeter.
With each truck running , measure the the voltage at the battery.
You'll find 15 different readings.
Probably ranging from 12.5 to 14.8.
Too high of a voltage shortens the lamp life.

ive had my cluster out twice, and it is about to come out again to put a new lens on it. it isnt hard to do, you just need a 7mm socket and an 8mm socket. the hardest part for me is unplugging the cluster

Mine does the same, except, it's here, there and everywhere between. lol

I just drive with the lights that are on at the time, who needs a speedometer anyway, right?

The dash lights are easy to replace. If you can remove the cluster.....you've done the hardest step.LOL

My 01 cluster never burnt out a bulb and the Sport Trac cluster I have now hasn't burnt one. Seriously, what are you people doing to your to cause them to blow?
