Why Did I even Bother??? (No Really, stop laughing!!)

WHY.. WHY.. WHY..??

Okay, so I decided that I had to find out for myself that the Tornado is a useless hunk of tin scrap... and it cost me a TPS and a can of touch-up paint when the truck stalled and I hit a lightpole base....

So heres what happend. The damn thing must have slid inside the airtube by the Throttle body, and it blocked so much air that I stalled out while I was in reverse and since the truck is pretty hard to steer while in reverse and no engine running and the inital shock of stalling and automatic hadn't set in I backed into a light pole.. Plus shortly after putting it in, out of the blue my TPS crapped out and the truck ran poorly.

I took the Tornado out, changed the TPS and low and behold... Gas milege went up, power came back and no more stalling... Humm!! TAKE MY ADVICE!!! THE TORNADO / TURBONATOR / VORTEX GENERATOR / or anything else that claims it makes a swirling air effect is only going to make your truck swirl arround the bowl and down the hole!!

Has anyone else tried this thing and had such disasterous results??

WTF....

does it actually work for ya?

see, the problen with that is, imo, that its not really liked to a pulley or even the engine CPU...just the battery...so, it's tryin to force the same amount of air into the engine supposedly at idle, as it would be WOT....which doesnt make sense at all....

superchargers are linked to the pulleys....thas how it controls the amount of boost to give....so u're basically just fanning the air coming in the intake....

No, a supercharger is forced Air INduction. It runs on pulleys yes, that's why you get a ton more hp then you do with this. This is the same Concept, Forced Air induction. It forces more air into your tube but it also creates the Vortex. The vortex is sucking more air into the motor creating more hp.
Plus you get the cool supercharger Whisle

yeah..but like i said...the fan only runs at one speed...so u're not really getting a good forced induction at WOT....or your getting too much air, which is inturn wasted at idle...

OMFG!!!!!!

Well, today I had some guy come into my store and tell me that he had a (TORE-AH-NAD-OH) Air management setup in his Tundra.. I tried not to laugh having been a victim of this travisty...

At least I saw the light when it was blinding me in the face, but this dude actualy said to me;

"It works great, I get such better off the line power and It really makes a differance in the corners. The only thing is I haven't oiled it since I put it in so I think I may need to check that cause it isn't putting out like it used to..."

He then proceded to ask me if we carried the Oil for that....

HOW DO YOU RESPOND TO THAT and STILL KEEP YOUR JOB???

and right now I've settled for one of those Fake turbos(just makes the cool sound, and when you change gears it makes the blowoff sound ); its like a lil clip thing in the exhaust.....$10

yea i've seen those, If you decide to get one make sure that you have a cool air intake, It won't hook up to your stock.
