will low oil throw a cel?

just wondering. my 06' 3.0 with only 4,500 miles on it keeps getting a check engine light every few days. i keep resetting it but it keeps coming on after a couple of days. i have to take it in to get the ABS checked out anyway but i was just wondering if low oil will make it come on? my dipstick was showing it right on the low line so i added a little more. now its halfway up on the stick. haven't driven it yet to see if the light comes back on.

The only thing check engine lights show are emmisions readiness codes. Low oil will have nothing to do with a check engine light, although it can have a lot to do with early rod bearing replacement so make sure you keep on top of that lol.
