wwwaaaaarrrmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!

so i had a few problems around july/ june months where the temps spiked around 95-100. the problem i was having was my temp would run a little bit hotter than usual, not overheating but a little bit hotter. didnt have ths problem last year, but it started when the hot weather came. i had a new bumpr put on that replaced the steel shroud with a steel one, not really cuttin off much of the air flow to the engine, but it would run about a third of the way from the middle toward the hot mark on my gauge. and go down when i got above 50 or so. but its never done this so im a tad worried. i do have the dreaded coolant leak from the timing chain cover. but i dunno if that has anything to do with it. i got the 3.0 and i havent heard of this problem ith it, i imagine it cant be a good thing for the motor

when mine starts running warmer during the summer usually it is just time to clean the radiator out. it will get plugged up with dirt and mud and stuff like that so i usually just take it out spray it off with a hose and if its really bad i soak it in water over night to break up the really hard stuff. just something to check out make sure that air is getting through it.

If it cools down around 50 or so I'd inspect and suspect the fan clutch is getting weak.

Mine did that exact same thing and a friend recommended changing the t-stat. I did and haven't had it happen since. This was 3 or 4 years ago. Hope this helps.
