2019 XLT TMPS Fault error
Hello,
I have a 2019 Ranger XLT with 2.3
My wheels are about 3 yrs old and at the proper pressure. Yesterday I received a TPMS Fault message. In the display I can see has lost contact with the rear right. I am thinking it might be related to Ice/Snow and extreme cold. My thought was to reset the system and see if it comes back on again before taking things apart.
I see so many conflicting instructions on line and none seem to fit my vehicle. I dont have a physical button (that I can find). In my screen menu there is no reset option. I tried some instructions involving turning the hazards on/off 3 times. This works but takes me into learn mode. I dont think this is the same as a reset and I dont have a learn tool. When I exit out I get 2 honks (which I think is bad). The fault light remains on.
I read quite a few other postings regarding erroneous TPMS faults, but none have a solid conclusion. Most that replaced the sensors reported no change. I see a couple that indicate a phone charger was causing interference.
Looking for any advice. How do I reset this thing, or am I going down the wrong path.
