2021 RANGER TREMOR
I would think that would be optimistic
Factories build "stock" models at the same time, so regular cab 2WDs would all be built at one time and if there was a Custom Regular cab 2wd it would be run at the end of that run
Then they would change to regular cab 4x4, different frame, and run those thru
Then extended cab 2wd, longer frame
Then crew cab, even longer frame
ECT.................
So when you order anything Custom it won't be built until the end of run on that base models platform
2021 Tremor is a "stock" package so will have its own run, which is good, but..........it may not be a high order run, not enough ordered, YET, so they wait until the end of 2021 production runs to build them, which is end of May and beginning of June, Mid June is the start of 2022 model year production usually
There is also the issue of Covid shut downs in the electronics end of things
Ford may have all the hard parts to assemble vehicles but the electronic parts may be on back order because of supply chain issues
If a circuit board needs a specific chip and that chip was not available for 3 or 4 months then production of that circuit board would be a 3 or 4 month back order, its a domino effect down the line
And there are alot of electronics on these new Rangers, and any vehicle really, lol
And Ford is very specific on the parts used in finished products, so substitutes allowed, period
Enough doom and gloom, maybe they are building it right now because they are missing parts for other Ranger models, lol

Of course, I am anxiously waiting to see if these factory closures will delay the truck. So far, I haven't received any notification that there will be a delay in my Tremor.
Good program on 60 Minutes last night about "chips", semiconductors
Seems all the Vehicle "chips" can only be made in Asia, Taiwan usually, Intel can't make them, Intel is the ONLY US "chip" maker now
Cars makers(including Ford) expected a big slump in sales because of Covid so cancelled orders for these
When car/truck sales came back up quickly, it created about a 6 month backorder at that time which has been brought down to 2 months now
Interesting segment, I didn't realize the US was so far behind on "making chips", they don't have the technology or equipment to make the smaller "chips" needed for cell phones and other size sensitive components

its not just you, new vehicles are hard to come by right now
Ordered my xlt Fx4 ranger 8/10/2. Got the VIN at the end of September. Checked the tracer last week and it is now in production and has the window sticker. Has anyone had trouble trying to sign in on the tracker website? Sometime I put all the info in and it doesn’t go to the tracker it just keeps going back to me having to put in my info over and over.
