Just ordered a 2023 Lariat Tremor yesterday. We'll see how long it takes to be delivered. I wanted the Lariat 501A equipment group package but was told it was unavailable. Had to settle for the 500A. I plan on adding a camper shell (same color scheme as truck) and will have dealer install. Going to keep my 2002 Ranger.
Got an email from Ford. They have pushed the build day back a week to the 5th of December 22. My 02 is sitting in a shop waiting for the long block to arrive on the 28th of November. Ford has 4.0 long blocks but they are on backorder 12-16 weeks out. I posted in the Technical 4.0 forum what happened to it a week or so ago. I think I shelved out $4600 for the long block (taxes included) and labor he told me will be $1500 or so. It depends on what he finds when he pulls the existing motor. Could be less he said. Currently driving a rental car for a couple weeks.
As to taking ownership I'll see where I am at financially when the Tremor finally arrives at the dealership which will be early next year sometime.
Delivered today. Very very pleased with my purchase. So many compliments on the color from everyone at the dealership. No one had seen this new color before today. The added Tremor paint graphics really pop in the right way. Tomorrow spray in bed liner and have front windows tinted same as rear. Also on order are the window/rain guards.
All paperwork signed (90% on digital). If ready tomorrow I will pick it up after work. Riverside Ford gets a huge Kudo from me. Three months from order to delivery is pretty awesome!
