Hey yall just got me a 19 Ranger and the next step is a camper shell. The only problem is that it seems like alot of people have problems with water leaking into the bed. Is this a common issue for newer Rangers? Has anybody else had this issue/not this issue that has any advice or recommendations?

 

Shells are 3rd-party products. Ford has nothing to do with them. If they leak, it's not because it's on a Ranger.

 

Well, it might be because it is on a RANGER........

If you look at the front of the bed, there are several actual holes or slots that go right through. With the cap on I can see light through them easily. They are where sheet metal parts don't quite come together. Same on L and R sides, so it looks like they are designed-in.

Obviously, a hole can leak, and these are right up near the top outside corners. So, I'd be expecting rain to come right through into the bed no matter HOW tight the cap is sealed.
