New Ranger back is to high

New Ranger back is to high

Bought the wife a new Ranger and she don't like the back end so high
anybody try to lower the rear ? Level the truck not lifting the front

I bought a 2 1/2 inch front leveling kit. Looks much better.

Ya i seen those I wand to drop the rear The only thing i see that you can do is get lower profile leaf spring

The high back is just to accommodate the load rating. With a spring that is not too stiff, the height gives the compression space needed for the load without getting too close to bottoming. Not uncommon, and if changed, that would probably change the load rating as well.

I agree, if someone in a small car is tailgating, you might not know it. Of course, they will have to be tucked in pretty close, and it would be totally their fault in case of an accident. Not that that fact is a help once they dent the truck up.

I do not know that it is a real "problem", though. Mostly an issue if you are backing up, and for that there is the camera, which works pretty well as long as it does not get covered with dirt, snow, etc. (had that happen once so far)
