Ok so I have a Westin ladder for truck bed
Does anyone here have one installed? The Ford dealership said don’t install but the website says it would fit, I have a appointment at 4wheel parts to install it? Where the screws are on the tail gate seems very light weight and hallow what should I do ? Here are pictures

I installed something similar on my 2009 Ranger.
Website states it will fit/install, and it looks like it would....simple 4 screws.
I would guess Ford dealer advises no in case the screws hit or interfere with the internal tailgate linkage, which if damaged by them, wouldn't be covered by warranty..
If like mine, it was just a simple matter of drilling 4 small holes and the use of some 3/4 inch long self tapping screws.
Should not be any issue and will not void the warranty on your truck.
The ladder I installed, a Traxion 5-100 from Amazon has been of great help to my "old guy knees"
