OK, I did the almost 8 hr drive but in 2 days instead of one day to see exactly what the issue between me and the saleswomen was pertaining to my arrived 22 Ranger 4 1/2 months later. All came down to the fact that I never received a Signed Buyers Order agreement, which I requested numerous times. once at the dealership I was treated like a family member. All of my Dollar figures were right on with their original price quote, gave me a really decent trade-in value for my F350, lowered the high $599 doc fee to $99 and gave me the savings in return ($500). With the Ford Rebates applied, additional Dealer rebates applied along with the discounted Doc fee, the trade-in $, I wrote a check for the difference and hit the road for an 8-hour drive home, got home @ 10pm Tuesday nite. Ranger's mpg readout was showing 21.9, hand calculation was 22.5, I always try to keep from constant rpms for the 1st 1000 miles-(meaning No-Cruise Control), had some stiff head winds at 185 miles, gear indicator readout showed 8th gear, wouldn't hold 9th or 10th gears with the wind, changed direction to get out of the high winds with a different way home and got back both 9th and 10th gears, added about an hour to the drive but well worth it.
So far not a bit disappointed with my Ranger.

 

Good looking truck. Glad it all worked out for you. Why all the drama from the dealer is beyond me, but at least the trip was worth it. Hoping to get mine in May. Happy driving!
