Scan Gauge

I just purchased a 2019 Lariat and plan to tow a small travel trailer for my wife and I to enjoy some simple camping. I have a Scan Gauge 2 that I used in our previous class B RV to provide RPM data as the RV did not have a tach. Does anyone know if the Scan Gauge 2, or the new Scan Gauge 3 can connect with the Ranger and provide transmission temperature? I've lookied over the Scan Gauge website and tryied entering the various codes for transmission temperature but none of the four profiles seemed to work.

Has anyone found a simple way to monitor transmission temp while towing?

Thanks

Merrill

Scangauge 2

I tried to connect my Scangauge 2 to my 2020 Lariat and couldn't even find the OBD2 port. Any ideas where to find it? It doesn't seem to be in the fuse area where you would expect it to be.

Consider using an
OBDLink MX+ Module at OBD2Port for BlueTooth~AdroidPhon\Tablet\Dash with free OBDLink App.
Module & App has a Dashboard mode; as you drive live displays several hundred selectable\configurable variables\gauges.
Happily using it here several years now
typically displaying MPH via PCM, MPH via GPS, MPG, AirTemp, EnginTemp, TransTemp, BattVolts, OxSensorVolts,...

OBD2 Port

Thanks for the suggestion. Any idea on where the OBD2 port is located? I didn’t see it in the fuse area.

Always somewhere under the Dash on the Drivers side; it's an SAE standard so shop techs & exhaust testers can find & connect to it quickly.
Varies with year+model, sometimes exposed, sometimes behind a pop out cover, sometimes mounted with FuseBox.
