Hi all,

Can someone clarify if the 2019 Ranger with the tow package comes with a trailer brake controller? Or is this something that I need to get installed? Or is their another option?

I just bought a 2021 Ranger STX with the towing package and it does not come with towing package! I ordered one from a Ford dealer! There is a YouTube video of the installation ! Hope that helps! Dale

 

+1 ^^^ no it does not come with trailer brake controller but it does have a wire for it

Regular Ranger will have the 4 wire trailer plug in
Towing package adds a 7-wire trailer plug-in which includes a wire for trailer brakes, also 12v charging wire and Reverse light wire

Trailer brake wire should be in the cab, drivers side, under the dash

Look at the rear bumper for the 7 wire plug-in, if you don't see it then it does NOT have the full tow package
