03 4.0 SOHC rough idle and DTC's

So like it says my tuck has a rough idle at times to the point if i leave it alone it will die. The codes its throwing are a bank 1 lean and bank 2 lean and bank 1 sensor 1 stuck lean. anyone else have this happen to them? and is it an O2 sensor? or something else? The truck has 183,000 on it and i'm running a K&N air filter and a flowmaster delta 40 series muffler

I had a similar problem of running rough, no codes though, and a fuel filter fixed it.

Check all vacuum hoses. Also an elbow on the PVC hose is known to crack. The hose comes off of the PVC valve and connects to the front of the intake manifold(I think). Its a big L shaped plastic line.

I had those exact same symptoms but without the codes. It was the rubber PCV elbow that attaches to the right side of the throttle body/intake. It is located under the top radiator hose.

Ford sells the entire hose as one piece not just the elbow.

so I checked the elbow by the oil fill cap under the hose and the one on the driver's side back valve cover and those all look fine. It also doesn't idle rough all the time though

when both banks are running lean, its most likely the maf. my guess is its just dirty. K&N are known for letting particles in, and with 180k on your motor, i wouldn't be surprised if your maf is dirty. Also i think its already been said but the platic pipe that goes from your intake to the engine right after the MAF make sure its connected.. i got tired of that thing popping off that i replaced it with a radiator hose.

I`d def be looking for a vac leak with those codes. Get yourself some tb or maf cleaner and soak down all vac hoses, intake, manifold, ect. Basically everything from the maf back. You cant always "see" where it might be leaking.
