2004 4.0 V6 crank no start

Greetings gents,

I have a 2004 ranger 4.0L v6 that cranks but doesn't start.

-Firstly I feel I should include that I changed the ignition key cylinder and reprogrammed 2 new keys to the vehicle. The anti-theft system is content as far as I can tell from what I've read (as in the theft light flashes at slower intervals than previously when the keys weren't programmed when the theft light would basically go ballistic). The key switch doesn't engage the starter so I've wired directly to the excited and put a momentary switch in the cab. Work's like a charm.

- I have accessory power when I turn the key to run, the fuel pump definitely works, and the filter is new, not clogged and fuel definitely comes out of the outlet of the filter, I took it apart after the filter to purge the 1+ year old gas that was in it when I bought it.

- I have voltage at the injectors during cranking, they aren't disabled from anti theft madule failure as I've read is sometimes a problem. I have spark and compression, it fires right up on starting fluid sprayed through the intake so I know it also gets air to the cylinders.

- I took apart the fuel supply line at the injector rail, it had plenty of pressure and hosed me down good with old gas. When I turn the key and the fuel pump comes on I just barely get a trickle out of the line to the rail but at the rate it actually consumes fuel it seems fine for now.

- I haven't yet removed and bench tested the injectors and I've read it could be a crank/cam pos sensor, but aside from that I have no idea what next steps to take. Neither the dash/cluster nor any part of the truck has been apart on the inside BUT it DOES sit with no battery in it.

If you have any suggestions, please help!

Thanks a billion 👍🏻
