3.0 to 4.0 conversion??
3.0 to 4.0 conversion??
Well, I have been thinking about this for a long time and now I have access to a truck that can donate all I need I hope to convert my 3.0 to a 4.0. I have never done anything like this so just testing the waters to see. I was just curious if anyone has done this and how hard is it to do?

I've done 1 , sold my original 4.0 to a local with an 02 Tremor. He had to pickup a fuel system and have his ecm flashed by Ford ( if you have a whole donar truck.. you wont have to do such ).
Its not THAT hard, have friends and some beer. Make sure the friends don't sit around guarding the beer though
. Took us a total of .. 6 hours.. 4 people whom knew what they were doing ( all ranger owners ). Everything was CLEAN, nothing in the way.

Its a considerable swap if your not buying a remanufactured mill or if your working a budget. A whole donar truck can be had from an insurance wreck for less then a grand in my area.
