I know this topic is probably old but my research has lead me with more questions than answers. I want to replace the heads on a 4.0 OHV engine I also don’t want to worry about my heads cracking in the future. So what do I buy and from who?

 

Look at 12 degnorth.com. New heads are EXPENSIVE. Also, I done a quick search and found several places for heads. Good luck

 

did you figure out what to buy? I just bought a 99 4.0 with milkshake and I'm looking for some myself

 

Nope I’m thinking of calling Tom Morana racing to see if there’s any knowledge there.

 

I’m kind of afraid that if new head castings are coming from china that you will never know unless you cut them up and look at the cross section to know.
