i wouldn't think they would have had to drain it for any reason....but i will definately call them first thing Monday morning......the only bad thing is, it never got below 50* around here before the wreck, so it could be a bad t-stat....

If it's now acting right it could be either. Either a non burped system or a sticky stat.

The only other time I've seen intermittent problems is when there is heavy debris build up in the cooling system. Like.. when someone NEVER changes thier coolant and the crud just builds up for 100+k miles. Although.. usually in that situation the heat core will plug up first.

Also and it's a very remote possibility... A scale/crud will build up at the top of the water line when the motor is off. Usually 1/2 in the head and 1/2 in the block. it's very rare but sometimes a crust will form accross the top of the stagnet coolant. Then when the motor is run coolant flow isn't adequate.
