As we see by examining those pages the 77 series provides more torque and HP while the 57 series provides more torque a...wait a minute..they say the same thing. I'm lost.

Im glad someone else notices this. I have been saying bad things about K&N for months.. Im sorry but until I see a Ranger on the dyno with each one of those or vids of the actual dyno runs K&N is pissing into the wind in my eyes on everything they sell. I take all of those words like a grain of salt.. but then again I have never liked K&N so oh well.. looks good, im glad ur happy

talking to a 15 year master tech from ford, he and many, many, other techs will tell you that k&n is nothing but a waste of money from the start all the way up to the point where your engine goes down because it has so much dust/dirt/sediment built up around the normal carbon buildup in your engine....

So i'm with nick and BrYan on this....Fram Air Hog and airbox mod are plenty enough for me....

is that the only difference tho... its metal instead of plastic? looks nice.. but if theres no difference, id rather have the black plastic one.. it matches everything else under the hood

I'v seen a Ranger on their Dyno.. and I can tell you that on a stock OHV 4.0, no other mods, this thing makes over 6hp at the wheels. I have seen it with my own eyes.. so if you trust me, there it is.

Dirt and crud is the exact reason I refuse to put that in my truck. I'd rather have a truck that lasts longer than one that gets 6hp more....I can do without.

Metal means when it gets hot, it stays hot, metal takes longer to cool down. I would have gone plastic myself.

Learned about the metal the hard way. COld air intake with a hot tube... haha

Looks clean as hell though.
