I have a 91 Ranger 4.0 ohv. 5 speed manual. My truck died out and when I started it back up I noticed the motor hesitating. So I talked to a few people and they told me that it might be the timing chain. So on went a new chain assembly. The truck still does the same thing. So I pulled out and cleaned the injectors. Replaced the spark plugs and coil pack. Checked the fuel pressure and it was fine.

Any ideas as to what can be the problem?

 

plug wires can do that have you replaced them yet?
