98 throttle body spacer... HELP

Hey there i just ran into some problems tonight when I tried to put on my new throttle body spacer. When I installed the throttle body spacer I soon found out that the accelerator cable was too short and was holding the butterfly in the throttle body open part way. after fighting with it for about an hour looking at different ways that i could possibly lengthen the cable i decided to stop and ask on here what the right way to make this work is. my truck is a 4.0 OHV with the plastic intake if that helps you out any.
thank you for your time

x2, its a good paper weight, not worth modifying the cable. They do absolutely nothing

well thing about it is that i had a buddy machine it for me. no returns. BUT for anyone looking on here for information and not to be called an idiot for buying something... http://www.taylorvertex.com/Products/index.cgi/fordHPT this website has a list of products this company makes and also includes instructions for installation that then tell people with the "cast in" style throttle cable bracket there is a bracket assembly that is needed to make it work.

Thanks so much for the help though guys i really appreciated it...

Asking for help on a custom part you have to admit you were asking for it.

I do believe the mass produced parts fit with no issues.

custom built exactly like the mass produced ones for a third of the price. the problem is with the intake manifold. it is plastic much like many others and i was wondering if anyone had done it before. but its all good got it figured out and installing it tomorrow.
