Get an Xcal 2 or 3 from James Henson.

He did a great job tuning my 4.0L auto sport trac. He was very quick too!

Have you ever data logged or monitored your A/F? I have.. he is *not* a good tuner. What's worse is that he flat out denied that his tunes were making me go lean. Well.. that's not what I was seeing. And now that I tune myself with the **same software he uses** I 100% know for sure that he's a witch dr.

IMO Doug at bama has a good engine tune. But adressing tranny functions (for an auto tranny) is where the real majic of tuning is.

I'll second the vote for Bama. I have one of his tunes on my 4.0 FX4 and regularly get 17-18 around town and 20-23 on the road. Of course, you need to go very light on the throttle to get this. Also, get him to stiffen up the tranny shifts if you have an auto, it's well worth it.
