A/C Question
A/C Question
I have a 99 4.0 manual Ranger. I have a A/C compressor leak. I am replacing everything except the evap. I have ordered my parts. I know my truck calls for 9 oz of pag oil for the system. According to the mangf. the compressor comes prefilled with the correct amount of oil. I know that some oil is circulated throughout the system when the A/C is running.
I have also heard that a little bit of oil needs to go into each of these new parts. My question is, since the compressor comes prefilled with oil and the other parts are new does it really matter if the other parts have oil, and if does matter, want the pulling of vacuum "pull" some of this oil into these other parts? Feel free to impart any other advice that you feel is prudent.
