Cheap performance mods? Help
your putting your foot into it too much. i have done the airbox mod too and you really need to watch it if you do any offroading. i go through air filters like candy with my truck. it sucks in a lot of water when i go too fast through puddles. it all gets splashed up in the front of the engine and right into the box
The throttle cable mod is a HUGE driveability changer. I did it on my 140 some thousand mile 3.0 Ranger, and it went from dog slow to hauling mail again. Three zip ties to take up the slack, and BOOM! Power is back.
It's the new future of the Ranger community. No new Rangers for cool kids to buy, so the community is gradually becoming old folks and new drivers. The old folks want to find out how to fix stuff but don't understand how forums work most of the time (no offense to any of you that do lol), and the new kids want to ball on a budget, aka put plastidip everywhere and call it a paint job, and then hit up AutoZone's chrome accessories aisle for some bling.
