The 4.0s out of the newer v6 mustangs are pushing 265hp,thats what a buddy of mine said so ont hold me too it. You could get one from ford but you will pay some $$$ for a crate.

You can build a little 4.0 to be quite nice. Getting the stuff from SuperSix, adding an Explorer Express supercharger kit, and doing a complete exhaust (headers all the way back) would make a wicked little 4.0 Ranger; just make sure your transmission is capable of handling it. If you have an automatic, you might want to look into the upgraded internals from Nick. If you have a manual, a stage 2 clutch would be a wise investment.

According to SuperSix's dyno runs of their products on a 4.0 Mustang, they got 440 RWHP and 388RWTQ. That is some inpressive numbers out of a v6.
