Okay so is the poo.... Its raining out here in VA..went to play in the mudd with a bunch of friends.... wqent threw this big nasty hole filled up with about 4ft of water.... I mean @ stcik POS 81 Jeep cherokee went threw and so did the B4000 it was my turn... went threw slow... water came up over my hood and the boom stalled out.... wouldn't start.,... so i got pulled ouyt and let it sit for a while.... still nothing... the fuel pump won't even click on.... when it turns.... it just goes. click.... not like the dead battery click but just the motor click once... but every so often it will turn over and try to start.... when i look @ the dipstick its fine no water nothing in the oil... But when i take off the oil cap there is a whiteish color... n e one know what the hell is wrong and got n e tips... .if it is siezed... i got a warrenty but i need to pressure wash it... lol.... so if you guy/ gals no n e thing or have n e ideas just let me know something.... if the engine still cranks he didnt suck in enough water
you really should have pulled the plugs before cranking it
the crap on oil cap is most likley oil additives (esp if he has used penzol or something with teflon in it)
now you say no fuel pump?
have you double checked your inetia switch? its under the carpet in the pass foot well near the top
make sure the bottun is pushed down

So......this switch.... some water did come in on the pass side could it of shorted out or something?.... but i did pull two of the plugs out and they had some water it looked liked... I mean if i let it sit for a like a day or so you think it could dry out.... maybe give me some hope.... lol.... i hope the warrenty covers dumbasses... lol lets hope for the best

no warranty coverage - you can't hide a broken rod
that is if you hydrolocked - key is locked means it will not turn over at all - so maybe not
you should have pulled all the plugs before trying to turn it over if it did not crank on the first try
pull them all now - well at least 5 unless you pull the passenger fender cowl
then try cranking it and blow out any remaining water
if the engine does not crank very easily, or if you hear strange banging or knocking noises you haev major internal engine problems
re-install the plugs (after inspecting each one) and see if she starts
PS - water over the hood is too deep
oh and by the way - nice story for your fourth post

worth a try, and if it works, you wont have to worry about changing them again for a long time.

The same kind of thing happened to me, I went through some water, and all of a sudden it cuts off. I try and start it and it just makes this clicking sound and a low wineing sound i guess, and it just kept doing it. Then I got pulled out of the water, and i just kept trying to start it and gave it gas and what not, and it finally start to my great supprise. It ran really really ruff for a couple of hours, it was sputtering really bad it would go then just stop then go, i guess water got into the cylenders. Then about a week later I took my intake cover off and a bunch of water poored out. Just give it a day or two let it dry out, and try to start it, thats all i can think of. I got really lucky.
