I have only had my Ranger a month or so and over this period i have contacted several people about custom tunes and each had a slightly different price per tune and a different personality. Of the three Don was the only one to contact me back in a timely manor and he seemed the most knowledgeable, I broke down this morning and ordered the 93 tune and shortly after I found an e-mail with the tune attached.

I just got back from the first ride with the new tune which was only about 5-10 miles in town so I can't say a lot for the performance increase yet but the truck does run noticeably smoother and more responsive.

A big thank you to Don for being such a stand up and knowledgeable guy! I would highly recommend him to anyone and I will be purchasing his 87 tune real soon so I can compare the two!

A little info on my truck..

My truck is a 2004 4.0 4x4 extra cab Edge. I have recently replaced all fluids front to rear, replaced three seals that I found leaking shortly after purchase, replaced plugs with Double platinums, new air filter, new fuel filter, and I replaced both the idler and tensioner pulley as a little preventative maintenance.

 

Not a bad looking truck at all, I am interested in a tuner myself so i can manually change everything. Would like to see dyno results from yours.

I used Fred @ Rogue Performance, I had a great experience as well, I just caught him at a bad time and the tunes took a little while to get to me.

 

I actually ordered a tune from Fred a couple weeks ago and haven't heard back since, I am sure I will get it but Don got me my tune less than an hour after I ordered it.

I wish I had a dyno locally to test the tunes and the truck but don't have access to one unfortunately!
