Exact location of the PCV valve?

I want to check to see how my PCV valve is doing, but can't seem to locate it. The Chiltons does a great job of telling how to remove it, but not at all where it is located.

The only reason I am doing it is because my truck has been acting a little funny lately, and I am just curious to see how gummed up the valve is.

What a pain it is too!

It's on the rear of the drivers side valve cover. It points straight rearward and screws out. Mine also has a metal coolant line wrapping around it.

It was a real pain to remove. But with some patience you can do it.
Just remeber that it unscrews a bit before it comes out.
