I'm ready for a new exhaust, I have looked before but im still not sure on which muffler to get. I was looking at a super 44 last time but i dont know if thats the sound im after. i would like a nice deep rich tone, i dont not want any clapping or ricer sounds!

I dunno, Super 40 woudl get you a deep rich sound... magnaflow sounds super raspy on acceleration...

 

I dont want to spend that much money i have been qouted $350 for 2.25" pipe super 44 muffler and 3" angle cut stainless steel tips

 

i got the magnaflow dual exhaust kit for 510 off autoanything.com... it sounds ****ing badass...

 

going dual is not cheap...my super 44 dual exhaust was 400...good thing it was insurance money that paid for it lol

 

DynoMax Turbos sound pretty good w/ 2.25”.
I have a set of their Welded Turbo to use on my next project.

 

I'm leaning towards the flowmaster 40 series right now. I'd like to keep it under $350. also what size pipes should i run? i've 2.5" would they give me the best sound? I'm also thinking about doing all stainless steel worth it or not?

 

stainless steel your pay out the *** for...i have 2.5 and a super 44 on my truck and it sounds great for a 6cyl i used to have a 40 but i got hit and bent it all up the 40 sounds pretty good but id go for the 44

 

go with a magnaflow muffler, awesome sound, not too loud and no drone on the highway. and 2.5" tubing... dont waste your money on 2.25

 

If you go too big on the pipe you WILL lose power… 2.5” may work but everyone to their own. MHO...

 

Man, you can buy whatever you want, but I love my Magnaflow... but I've heard some Ranger's with Flowmasters, and they sound good too...

 

its duals so its just going to be inferior to a properly sized single, but not like it really matters on these trucks anyways the @ssdyno will feel the same.

try for 2.5" in 2.25" out

 

thats exactly what i have. i have seen some guys o 3", thats way too big

 

I run Flowmaster 40 single in dual out with 3.5" tips. The inlet is 3" and outlets are 2.5". Doesn't sound like a ricer to me at all.

 

well i called a local shop at lunch today and was qouted $325 for flowmaster 40 series w/ 2.5" pipes and 3" tips, so im going wednesday afternoon to get it installed!

 

I have a Cat back that was custom done. Starts at the Cat goes into a Cherry Bomb Glass pack which is very loud now all worn out, exits dual into 24"x3" Black Polished SS Tips. I prefer tips comming down out the side rather than out the back if there is a hitch there it just complicates everything.

 

i had mine custom made too. cost me $450 canadian for 2.5" into a magnaflow muffler with 2.25" out to 3" tips out the back. i loooooove it!

 

I guess I got a good deal on mine. $150 for the Flowmaster 40 and dual pipes and 3" tips

 

i might get mine done on my 91', i was quoted (?) $300 for cat back duals out behind the rear tires muffler and 3" tips included... now if i can convince my parents it will save gas.... oh thats 2.22" pipes and a lowpro muffler, he said they sound really nice on a 4.0

i got my exhaust put on Wednesday! $375.50 2.5" pipes 3" SS double wall tips coming straight out the back with flowmaster 40 series. I must say it sounds and looks awsome!
