Got my truck back from the mechanics.

I have a stuck valve on the drivers side. Didn't check the passenger side, which is fine, I'll do that.

Gonna take the heads off too and make sure the piston isn't cracked. Got to take them off anyway to replace the valve.

So I'm out so far $66, and the guy said I should send the heads to a machine shop to have them looked at, milled, and cleaned up, which will be another $100-$200 or so.

Hopefully nothing else is an issue.

I am gonna start this weekend.

If it was a rod, I was going to start looking for a 5.0.

If the heads or pistons are messed up, I might still. The guy at the shop said just for them to do labor would be about $700, and to completely fix it, it would be over 1000. I'd rather spend a little more, LOL!

Pull the rod out, bend it and get a 5.0. Case closed.

If you guys want to drive out here, I would probably do it.

Only reason I would want to wait until after school is money and the knowledge I'm getting from it.

It'll happen one day, though.
