ALL Fx4 Level 2's (02 FX4 as this thread showcases) have buckets and shorty center console. The expos got the same center console but with rear cupholders in the armrest.....and i dont think i've ever seen a shorty expo console in black...

Sweet deal guys thanks. I was pricing one out at National 4X4 here in Fredericton and they wanted $3300. for the same kit. Now here is a question. lets say i put in the lift and then down the road i want to put in a set of F 150 axles or explorer axles would i be half to replace anything.

you've got to ditch those tires too!

you can put on an explorer rear....you can bolt on a f150 rear too if you wanted to...but you'd have to relocate the spring perches on the axle to meet up with the ranger leaf width.....and the axles gonna be fullwidth....so you better be putting on a solidfront axle.

f150 axle...you talking solid axle or IFS? IFS?....big no bueno.

My armrest was broken before I bought my truck. I don't mind, I usually rest my arm on that bracket it would normally bolt up to.

One thing to watch on the 02 FX4's is that bloody torsen limited slip. Ask anyone on here what I think of them, and I'll say I hate em with a passion. Mine blew up at 45, and another member here a few months ago had his blow up as well, exact same fashion. If I were you, rather than fix that armrest first, buy yourself a decent trac loc LS, Run you (I saw you're from Canada) $265 American. Replace that torsen before you find yourself scrounging to get it back on the road.

You dont need to get an exploder axle for the rear. You already have one, you're just lacking the rear disc brakes (which can be fixed with a 370$ kit from ford)
Your 02 FX4 is the same as Level 2's, which have 31 spline 8.8 axles.

Crushed Rock seats FTW!

the dealership should still honor the 2002 Torsen recall, they will replace the entire axle free of charge

there is nothing wrong with my axles i am just looking at doing it for the sake of doing it. So what the big difference between the explorer front axle and the ranger front axle. is it not wider. Also does anyone know of a website that will show all the recalls.

Justin, they actually denied any recall on the Torsens for me when I called. Plus, with it being an auto, they aren't goung to honor it anyway. It's a crappy deal, but it's Ford for ya.

They should honor the auto's, cause it's not like there's any difference in em. All it is is Ford being cheap...

... can't wait till a class action lawsuit comes about for it. I still have my old diff, R&P, and cover for that day!
