Having trouble NEED HELP ASAP

I have a 94 ford ranger 4x4 with an engine out of a 2000 Ranger. I know its a v6 and i am pretty sure its the 4.0 but i am not sure whether its sohc or ohv. Its a 5 speed manual. I have extremly low oil pressure and my truck has been shaking really bad sometimes when i drive. Most of the time this is when i first start it up, and now its starting to die when it happens. Also i was wondering if getting 18 miles to the gallon on the highway is normal? Any help would be great. This is my only daily driver right now, i need to get it fixed.

18mpg highway is about right. If the motor is a 2000, then I believe it's an OHV. Other than telling you to check the oil level, which I'm sure you already have, I can't help you much.

yeah but its intermittent. It not throwing and hard codes, so I am unsure of what the codes may be. I was thinking its probably the oil pump but i am not sure.

Also do a once over on all your vacuum lines - even 1 misplaced or cracked line can cause havoc all over the engine... shaking, sputtering, rough idling; and as above, do an oil pressure test, that should verify if its the pump
