Headers or a Tuner??

I want to get one of these now and maybe down the road get the other later. But I can't decide which one I should get first. If I get headers it would be JBA, for a Tuner I would get a an Xcal since that seems to be the most popular. They're both in the same price range. So its pretty much which one gives more?

Any opinions or suggestions are much appreciated.

Thanks,
Clay

ok so If I went with a Tuner which flash device should I get from SCT Xcal, theres these 2:SCT Automotive Performance Products, SCT Automotive Performance Products I guess its about what you want, what I want is more power and better fuel economy, which pretty much all of them give you.

Get the Xcal 3 for sure. I wish I could afford one right now lol. I also wish I was keeping the 01 so that I had a vehicle that you could notice a difference in before/after tune. It just isnt worth getting a tuner for my 98 2.5L

Tuner for sure, you'll see an instant power increase, and smoother sifting. I'd get the xcal and tunes from Bamachips.com... Then worry about headers later...

Come on by, or I can stop on over at your house. I still need to get some little things taken care of hoping to get that stuff done by next week.

Tuner for sure! I have both and the headers are nice but not worth the $$ unless you have disposable income. I got my original Xcal from Doug at bamachips years ago and love it.

question about Tuner. Will it recalibrate my Speedo, odometor, and trip? and would it be better to wait till after I regear or does it not matter?

slightly off topic, and i dont mean to hijack your thread, but.. im considering a tuner as well, and ive been trying to research which one to go for...
a buddy of mine has one of those superchips, i dont know exactly which one as ive never seen it or driven his truck but he loves it and claims it boosted his mileage and power quite noticiably!! now after reseraching on RF ... seems like a lot of guys here are using the xcal3 from bamachips/doug... could anyone shed a bit of light on the difference between the xcal and different superchips tuners?

much thanks

I'd say tuner, you can always use it again after you get headers if you so choice to. Plus you can get a new tuner to include the headers.
