Help truck wont start

So i got this 1999 4.o the other day everything was going fine till i tried to start it last night and it did nothing. Every thing comes on when u turn the key but wont turn over.

I tried to figure it out today i put a hot wire to the start to see if it would at leat crank and it does and i do get spark. The fuel pump and the ignition just dont work, i put a little gas in the manifold and it does fire and i also noticed the THEFT light if blinking alot when the key is on but i dont have any secrity system.

If anyone can help or knows whats wrong i would really appricate it.

well the blinking lights would be the battery. charge it up and try, so you can atleast rule that out of the picture.

This is going to sound stupid but make sure it is all the way in park. I have had that happen before.

That THEFT light is for the security system. If its blinking fast then that means your passive anti theft system is keeping the truck off. Are you trying to start the truck with a copied key?

The passive anti theft system call PATS requires a Ford key with a transponder chip in it. You can't just use any copied key. More than likely you have to go to the dealer and have the system reset and new keys programmed and made. Not cheap. If you lose keys often then buy extra keys from ebay with the chip in it and program the computer to recognize them. There is a procedure to get the computer to read them but I don't know it off the top of my head.
