i need header install help! very frustrated! lol

so i have been working on installing my headers, got the passenger side all done and wrapped up.

now I am stuck on the drivers side. the silly Engine Oil Dip Stick will not come out, it appears to go into the block behind the engine mount. I cannot see how it is attached and it wont come out. I have wiggled the crap out of the thing bent it and who knows what else the dang thing just wont come out.

I am pretty sure you can slip it over the dipstick tube. If you pull the dipstick out first it will make things much easier. The dipstick tube is, or should be, a pressed fit into the block with one small bolt holding it to the head. If you bend it too much and crease the tube, it can split causing an oil leak and make it impossible to get the stick out. If you do break it, i have a couple of them ready to ship!!! BTW, I am almost finished with the engine for the stang and hung the rear bumper and stuff tonight!!! Pics will be on the website!

you should have room with the body lift to do it... just bend the inner fender out of the way

gibson makes some.

Wayne yes lots of blood was involved. lol

Got them on and everyhting is good.

It did slide over like mentioned. But I had bent the dip stick tube up so bad it would not fit anyway. So i had to get it out. I clamped it with some vice grips and used a pry bar.

Evan click the Gallery link on Nicks site.
