I want LESS power!

Well everyone is making 'more' power threads. how do you actually dampen your power output?

this ought to be interesting.

I would say....unplug 3 of your wires from the coil pack. Stuff a sock in our intake. Add 5" exhaust...borrow one from a cummins powered dodge. or......

Be like Zack and drive a 4 banger w/ 32s.

The number one thing would be to pull timing and add a little fuel.

Nearly all fords these days have a feature I call torque reduction. Including my 06 FX4. The PCM pulls timing on the shifts. That makes for less power and helps the tranny to live longer.

You could take the same approach to make less power everywhere.

If you need it reduced ASAP (on the fly), let the air out of your tires.

HAHA!! I like the idea.
My old boss did that for his 16 year old son's 4-banger Ranger. He kept getting speeding tickets. Thats to funny!!!
Or, just buy a stinkin' chevy

Reverse MAF mod: glue a 1" wide wood strip into your MAF downstream of the sensor.

The K&N Mod: take a K&N filter, solvent clean it to remove the oil, then pour epoxy resin over 3/4 of it leaving just a small area to flow air. Don't forget to re-oil that area after the epoxy hardens!

Negative headers: replace the exhaust headers with 1" copper pipe. Very easy to fab and you can solder them instead of welding since your engine will no longer make enough heat to melt the solder...

Intake system: same as headers but 1" PVC tubing.

Light wires: Replace your spark plug wires with fiber optics...(DRAMATIC decrease in power output)...

Chip it: put an old XBOX mod chip into your PCM. Your truck will actually be faster, but only in the computer. In real life it will be the truck equivalent of a couch potato.

Hyper-parrafin pistons: these will melt when you make too much power and decrease your compression by reducing piston height.

Low-flow CAT: special catalytic converter made with titanium microfiber matrix -- very restrictive but it will never wear out.

Flowmiser muffler: special performance reducing muffler that gives you the sound and performance of a golf cart. Very popular in country clubs.

Prejudice-ply tires:
similar to bias ply tires, but totally resistant to anything resembling rolling.

Motorblast "Time-Bomb" spark plugs:
special nitroglycerine core self destructs and disables cylinder firing at some random time. Not only performance reducing, but adds a sense of drama since you never know when you're going to lose power.

Remove some of the stickers from your truck: 5hp for every sticker you remove...

I did quite a bit of research into these because I'm tired of the roaring power of my 3.0 and wanted to know what my options were.
