Install 98 4.0 into 90 ford ranger

Install 98 4.0 into 90 ford ranger
I am wondering if it will be a problem to hook up the electrical from the 98 4.0 engine to the electrical in the 90 ford ranger. The 90 was also a 4.0 but it had cylinder head problems. Thank you for any info you can give me. RKW
