Muffler Question

As some of you may know I am looking into redoing my exhaust. I have pretty much decided on the FlowMaster Super 40.

Here's the problem: Stock inlet size is 2.25"(I think). I want the si/do, but it only comes with a 3" inlet and a 2.50" outlet. Is that a problem or will this work with some expanders and will it effect the sound or performance?

Thanks for you help!
-Mike

i dont think thats much of a problem... they can do pretty much you ask them to do. it wont hurt anything. the stock inlet size may be 2" actually.. im not real sure but it seems extremely tiny and i think i remember my stock exhaust tip at 2.25" and noticing that tip was spread a little...

They don't list a 2.5" on thier site. Do you have any sound clips of a 4.0 with borla or magnaflow?
