Is it my transmission or not?

So as I posted before my truck has been shiffting hard I just recently rebuilt the top end and reinstalled it. I took it for a test drive and noticed the hard shiffting it has never done that even the day I pulled the engine . I made a few calls and was told to make sure I had enough trans fluid and to check for any unconnected wires or pinched. I took it today to advance Auto to see if I could get some codes I did get 2 but nothing from the tranny. My 2 codes where po122 and po113 now could those cause the hard shiffting? And also when I crank it up for the first time In the day it idles up to 2000rpms then it finally drops to 1000rpms. Maybe a vacuum leak or a hose in the wrong spot? please help and like I said before the tranny never shiffting like that.

Hard shifting is from transmission software being in safe mode

For some reason the computer thinks there is something wrong with the engine or transmission

The hard shift is actually safer for the transmission, softer smoother shift will burn out clutches and bands faster if there is a problem

P0122 is a TPS sensor code and can cause safe mode, TPS is used for shift points and down shifting

This is different than Limp Mode, which limits you to 1 gear, usually 3rd

I would first disconnect 1 battery cable, then unplug the Transmission's 16 pin connector and plug it back in

Unplug the DTR sensor(on shift linkage) and plug it back in

If its been 5 minutes hook battery back up and see if things are better

Ok what would be the transmissions 16 pin connector? And sorry when I mean hard shift I guess it's like a big jerk when it shifts gears the truck is automatic

In front of the shift linkage on the drivers side of transmission is the 16 pin connector for the transmissions solenoids and sensors

On the left is the 16 pin connector, unplugged, those wires control all the shifting

DTR sensor is the black unit on the shift lever, wires plug into it on the right side

Top right is the OSS(output shaft speed) sensor

Ok so I should unplug both of those and the positive battery cable and then plug them right back and after 5min connect the battery cable right?

I tried it I disconnected the battery cable and the 16 pin transmissions connector and the other is a ne that's on the shift linkage. Connected them back then connected the battery and it still does the same. I even tried unplugging the thing I know as the computer module if I'm right? The thing that's right under the hood passenger side with disconnecting the battery cable for a few minutes and nothing? Is there something I'm over looking? I just know that when I crank it up my rpms are slightly high and I have a bad alternator witch I'm sure that wouldn't cause it who knows what's going on I'm just not happy with it the motor hauls *** but when it shifts at the speed of 30mph not sure if thats 2nd gear or what not it jerks hard and then so on!!

Hey, not sure if you got this solved yet but I had a problem of the engine revving up past 3000 RPMs, then shifting hard and I couldn't figure it out until I got a code for faulty camshaft position sensor. Once I replaced that, the hard shifting ceased.
