I've had my truck for about 2 months and I ran it dry of oil. I know bad mistake. At first there was a light knocking in the back of the hood, then about 2 weeks later it started bogging down all the way down until it died. And I tried to start it but nothing I let it cool for 8hrs and starts it up, it started but it sounded terrible ): help?

 

Start calling junkyards for a new motor...

 

May be a dumb question, but did you fill oil before you tried starting again?

 

I pushed it to a gas station down the exit. And I tried starting it first I gave it a few minutes and then it started up but sounded horrible. And it died. Then I tried putting oil in it after setting for 15 minutes because that's how much time I had left. Til I had to get to work. And after I did that it sounded the same. Tried to start. But nothing

 

Yeah, it may be time for new motor.
